Regularly cleaning the pool or spa filter extends its life span.  We recommend having an extra set of filters, and cleaning the filters in use every two weeks firstly by letting them soak for 12-24h in a bucket with water and Pool and Hot Tub Filter Cartridge Cleaner, then by rinsing them thoroughly and by combing the folded pleats of the cartridge fabric with the filter brush.
